Summer is here at last, at least in the northern hemisphere. That means it's time for fresh faces and fresh Vogue Skins at Celestial Studios.
This release consists of four new makeup options for the Vogue line of skins. These are some of the lightest makeup options I've done. The last thing you want in the heat is your makeup sliding down your face. Since it's always summer in the majority of Second Life, hopefully you'll get a lot of use out of these even when your real weather has shifted to the wrong side of the freezing point.
All Vogue skins at Celestial Studios come with a freckled and non-freckled option. This release also includes a third "Light Freckled" version which has a light sprinkle of freckles across the nose, but none on the body. Just a small amount like what you may pick up after a few days in the sun.
Preview photos are shown in the middle tone "Cashmere" but are, as always, available in all five Vogue tones. Stop by Celestial Studios to try on some demos. Sorry, demos are available in the non-freckled versions only. Click any photo to view full size.
Summer 1: An almost totally bare face with just a hint of shine on the lips and a tiny trace of neutral/brown eyeliner.
Summer 2: Just a trace of barely there gloss, a slight flush and a hint of eyeliner.
Summer 3: Fresh pink gloss, flushed cheeks and lightly highlighted eyes.
Summer 4: Sassy pink gloss, flushed cheeks and flirty highlighted eyes. For your nights out after a day at the beach.
Summer skins are "Special Edition", which means they'll be available until the fall line is out and then semi retired until all four seasons have cycled and then they'll be brought back as a seasonal pack.
This means that the spring edition skins are about to retire until winter. I'll leave them out for one more week, so if you've been meaning to grab those, be sure to do it before June 29th.
Thanks to Cani for being my sexy photo partner! <333
Thank you! Thank you!
Yay! Skins with NO makeup, finally...

Ohh Starley ... These skins look so amazingly beautiful AND natural! I run a RL natural cosmetics company and it always bothered me how heavy the makeup looks were in SL. These summer skins look PERFECT! Wow wow wow!! Amazing job girl!! :-D

Starley, these are oh so beautiful as always! They look so fresh and pure, I will have to get one of these soon. And WOW, Summer 2 looks exactly the way I do my makeup on hot summer days when I am going to be outside a lot. Kudos! :)

Thanks guys! I always have a little trepidation releasing lighter makeup on skins because in the past, it seems like the darker the eye-makeup the better they sell.
But if there was ever a good time for a light option, it's definitely summer!
I'm really happy to hear such positive feedback! Not to mention happy to have some light makeup versions for myself to wear. :P

Heeeeeeelp!
Fisrt time shopping on SL and I decided to go for these beautiful skins. But Ooooops I bought the wrong version.
PLUS - I had bought eyelashes at your shop earlier so I now have two sets (one is already included in the skin pack)
I suck, I know. But can you help me? Exchange the skin and refund the eyelashes? I want to buy the whole skin pack instead. - I promise to be a better shopper next time.

Mary, can you contact me in world, please? I'll need to know your avatar name at the very least and the date/time of purchase would be helpful. Drop me an IM or notecard in world and we'll get you straightened out.

Wow, I can't wait to try on these skins! I don't wear make-up IRL (I live in Florida, so I spend a lot of time in the water and under the sun), and it's been a little bit of a challenge finding minimal make-up options in SL that *also* look good... but your Summer line certainly seems to fit the bill! Beautiful work! :D

Light makeup and a lighter freckled option? I'm giddy!

Do ya plan on releasing a lite freckled version for your other make up options already released?

I covered this a little on the Style Disorder post. I'll paste my response from there:
"While I'm pretty sure I don't want to go back and redo the other 320 skins to add the light freckles, I am considering offering it as an option to people for a nominal fee. If they can tell me the purchase date of the skin, I can do them one at a time for a small fee. I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to do that though as I'm afraid it could end up being extremely time consuming. Maybe I'll give it a trial run to gauge the demand."
So far, there's been zero interest, so the answer is 'probably not'.

Starley, I had a question: will we ever see similarly-themed skins in, say, the Charmed line? I absolutely adore my Vogue Summer 1 in Cashmere, but I'd also like to have a skin with just as gorgeous a face (I was so blown away by how beautiful the face was when I tried on a demo) and less-defined abs for those days when my av hasn't been doing her crunches. :D

I'm sorry to report, but I have no intentions of updating the Charmed skins. I don't really have the room for it anymore. If there's strong enough demand, I'd consider it and maybe retire another pack, but honestly you're maybe the second person who has requested it in the last 8 months.

Oh, well! Thanks for the fast and friendly reply, anyway! :)
