Shoeses for 1Lses

These were originally from my 2006 Halloween costumes and it was brought to my attention that someone had copied and was selling them as their own, so I decided to bring these back for 1L.

I've since spoken with the party involved and she's agreed to remove her shoes, so no real harm done, I'm leaving the shoes out for a brief period of time, cause hey, I already put them in the box.

MIA

Hi all, you may or may not have noticed I have been MIA in SL for awhile. This is the result of a combination of a couple things.  First and largest, I'm getting ready to move irl.  This process is moving along much quicker than anticipated and I have a lot to do in preparation of the move.  On top of that, I've been having trouble with my connection, it had been sporadic and finally went down totally for almost 2 days this week.

On another front, I'm having a hard time getting motivated to create stuff in SL, simply because my new items area is full and next time I make something I'm going to have to move my giant collection of Lulu socks to their permanent home, and frankly I'd rather drop something heavy on my toe. :P

I will try to log in when time permits and will announce if/when I'll be offline completely for the duration of the move. I'm not sure if I should just close Celestial City down while this is going on because IMs and requests are getting backlogged.  I will keep track of everything I receive that requires my attention.  "Hi" and "Are you online?" do not make the short list, I'm afraid.  Sorry to everyone that's been put out, please try to be patient and I'll do the best I can to straighten things up when time permits.

Looking For Love

Thanks to everyone who participated in yesterday's event.

Check out the awesome machinima report by Ida Keen here! Be sure to check out their archives too. This is the first time I've seen anyone doing news reporting like this and I just love it!  From the 'dynamic' intro music to the little clicky sounds when text goes on the screen.  They've done an awesome job and I can't wait to see more of it!

Despite the lag and really dreadful sim performances we were getting by the end of the third event, I think just about everyone had fun and picked up some nice new things.  The clue boxes are out on all four sims if you need to go back and look for any goodies you may have missed.  They'll be out until this evening (6PM SLT, I think).  Or until Elika picks them all up.  She put a LOT of time and effort into this and finally crashed out a few hours ago after being awake for something crazy like 36-48 hours.  Soooo... whenever she wakes up, she'll be doing the final tally and we can announce the winners of the cash and gift cards.

I've also learned that someone has compiled a list of locations for all the clue boxes on the web. (No I'm not going to tell you where it is, you big cheater.)  This is really disappointing. I thought we'd made a really entertaining and worthwhile event.  Maybe next time we should just shove some shit in a box and mark it for 1L and people can spend their time dancing at the club? I mean, that would sure save us an awful lot of planning and effort.  Is that what people would rather have us do?  Our intent was to have a 'customer appreciation' event.  We wanted to give our customers something fun to do as well as some nifty little gifts.  But if you'd rather just take the goodies and consider the event the "annoying part" you have to suffer through to get the loot, we'll consider that for the future.

Introducing Burlesque Dolls

Another display of blatant plagiarism.  Ok, it's not really plagiarism if you have permision, it's just ... I dunno, being lazy.  Pulling this from the Dazzle blog for you to read here. :D

Underwear/Lingerie at Last Call and Celestial City! Ginny and I really pulled out some texture stops to make these sets SEXY, hi-detail, and fun. We looooved working on these sets so much we had to get the queen of hair in on it, too. (Yar, Elika Tiramisu :P)

She's produced some exclusive hair that coordinates in theme and accessory textures with the line! 

Candida is a set that meshes couture with the burlesque. Irridescent satin is overlaid with boned lace. The camisole has peekaboo contrast cups, a zip back, and scalloping details. The panties are also scalloped and coordinate with the same irriedescent satin underlay. The set is accented with FOUR different versions of a prim bustle - from the deconstructed wire mesh overlay to piles of flouncy feathers - Candida is a LOOKER. The set includes the fantastic mesh-adorned shoes by Miss Thereian herself - and funky "stockinglets" with flexi ruffles at the tops and coordinating ribbon trim.

Emanuelle is a TDF - TO DIE FOR - corset-laced camisole set with exposed lacy bra top. The lacing is off-centered and supports a lace-overlaid sheer fabric. The panties are accented with lace - and sheer in the back. Red, red thigh-highs make a contrasting statement and perfectly coordinate with Starley's come-n-get-me peekaboo pumps. (This one is my favveeee ladies!)

LeeAnne plays up the whole innocence = not so innocent thing. Gingham, oh yes!! Annoyed with upskirts? Don't be anymore! We designed this one so that every time someone tries? They'll just see ADORABLE lacy boyshorts. Super super short skirts = not for the faint of heart. The sets include the cami-jacket tops, flexi skirts, and white shiny hose. Each LeeAnne set also comes with adorable prim-freaking-tastic gingham sandals by the Starleynator.

Finally, there's "Vanessa." A vamp at heart, each set includes the leopard and lace bra, leopard and lace open-strap panties, leopard and lace babydoll top, and sheer sequin-spangled chiffon flexi babydoll prims. Also included with each "Vanessa" set? ADORABLE hi-heeled leopard platforms.

Looking For Love Scavenger Hunt

Valentine's Love Event at Canimal, Celestial Studios, Last Call, and ETD islands aka The Quad!

The scavenger hunt will be held across the 4 sims of Canimal, Celestial City, Dazzle, and ETD Isle.  Yay!!!

It's still rather simple...but with tons of good hiding spots...it'll still be fun (at least to me) and everyone who participates will win something.

First is first....general rules:
-- There will be three times which the scavenger hunt will begin:
10 AM on 14 Feb 07 (Euro Friendly) *kick off on ETD*
3 PM on 14 Feb 07 *kick off on Celestial City*
7 PM on 14 Feb 07 *kick off on Dazzle
***These times are game time aka PST***

-- You can participate in any of those three times. BUT you will only be able to win 1st Place ONCE! But you can still be eligible to win the other prizes if you won first place in a previous event.

--  You MUST be in at least one of the groups to be declared a winner. The groups will remain open for enrollment...so EVERYONE has a shot to participate. If by the time a winner is declared and you are not a member in one of the update groups...you'll be automatically disqualified.

Groups:  ETD Update Group, Celestial City Update Group, Dazzle Girls (A Fan club), and Canimal Updates!

--  You MUST complete the scavenger hunt in order. The scavenger hunt will be series of objects that you purchase for L$1. Each object is a heart shaped box...like the one picture below.

Inside each object will be a notecard with a clue to the next location of the next object. You will need to rez each object and retrieve the notecard from inside. Each box will be numbered and you must buy them in order. I will be checking transactions to confirm things were purchased in order.
**If you purchase out of order (i.e you got #5 without getting #4) simply go find #4 purchase it and go back to #5 and purchase it again. If you skipped #4 and went all the way to #10....go all the way back to #4 find it buy it and then go to #5, #6, #7, and so on and so forth.

***HINT:  THESE OBJECTS ARE NO COPY, SO PICK THEM UP AFTER YOU READ THE NOTE!!****

There are 20 clues total. The clues will be scattered all over all 4 sims....but will have some kind of order to it. I.E. clue 1 on ETD, clue 2 on Celestial City, clue 3 on Dazzle, clue 4 on canimal, clue 5 on ETD...and repeats. And each clue will tell you which island to go to next.

-- The first person to collect all of the objects and clues....folder it up and rename the folder "Looking for Love-Your Name" and sends it in to me *ELIKAPEKA TIRAMISU* will be the winner. There will be First, Second, Third, and Forth place winners

I will announce the winners and distribute prizes on the 15th. The winners will be announced here on my blog and via the notices in the each of the update Group and the winners themselves will be contacted individually.
