Pimp Your Blog!

There are so many blogs for the various virtual world's I'm involved in lately, I just can't keep up! Nevertheless, I try and read a few every day. But I know there's gotta be tons more out there that I don't know about. Sooo....

New skintones for IMVU!

I finally sucked it up, sat down and redid the body skins for all 11 IMVU skintones. I removed the figleaves, added cleavage, some body shading, a belly ring and a french manicure.  I drew the line at genitalia, as the avatars are so cute and the IMVU population so young, the idea just gives me the heebie jeebies. I will be gradually going through my old skintones and updating them with the enhanced versions.  Please comment here or on my avatar page if there's a certain makeup you'd like done sooner rather than later.

I started out with a brand new makeup (for IMVU anyway), but it's actually based on one of my SL skins, which you can view here. Thanks to PyschicAdvisor for the suggestion!

Izumi + Hair!

I recently finished watching the anime Fullmetal Alchemist with the lovely ladies of SoLur Industries and the Izumi character was one of our favorites.  They hassled, badgered, and beat me up until I finally relented and made Izumi for SL.  Hopefully people will like her as much as we do. :)

I've also done an Izumi hair to go along with her (seen below). It's only loosely based on the character. I would love to do her crazy dreads, but I think it would take about 1000 prims to do well.  Maybe when we get flexi prims!

I have two other hairstyles new for today.  Lisa is a short flippy hair style that I'm loving with everything from casual jeans to floofy dresses. (It is TOO a word, shush!)  Tori is a long, straight, sleek style. Many of the long styles I've seen are too poofy on top or in the back, and I was wanting something very low profile, so here's Tori if anyone else hasn't been able to find a hair to fit that niche.

 

Finally! New stuff!

I had these things done or darn close to it before we made the move to the new island. I finally feel like things there are done enough to start working on content again. Or perhaps I'm just sick of making signs...

Either way, I took a little break from building today and finished up these new  skirts and tanks. The skirts are flouncy prims reminiscent of the 80s. I don't know why, but I'm currently having an obsession with that era in SL. I didn't really care for the style DURING the 80s, and I don't in real life now either, but I just LOVE it on my AV in SL. Maybe it's out of my system now or maybe there will be more flashdance flashbacks in the future. We'll see. :)  The shorts that go underneath the prims have a nice finish on the hem so they can be worn alone as well.

Also out today are three simple ribbed tank tops (shown above) to wear with the skirts or anything else you want.  One solid white and two with piratey glittery goodness.

Since I love all things pirate related (except probably scurvy), I will also take a moment to mention the most fabulous of all pirate costumes that came out yesterday from Rebel Hope.  She really went all out on it. It has so many great details, looks wonderful and comes in a treasure chest to boot! Another fun touch she added is this great dueling animation she tells me she got from Baccara Rhodes.  Here's me and Lur Sachs testing it out:

New Location!

Hooray! We're open! After much building and cursing over outages and grid attacks, we are happy to announce the new home of Celestial Studios and Canimal:  Celestial City

Not much has changed. The build is familiar but hopefully improved along with performance. You'll still find everyone from Threemile for all your fashion, skinning and fun needs! :). Celestial Studios, Canimal, Oxygen Designs, and Body Architects all return and there is one additional store. Solur joins the Celestial City family! (Relax, it's not that kind of family...)
