New Clothing Release

Four new clothing items out today for females.

First up, suede pants available in six colors.Four to match my suede belts and bags, and two new shades. Eggplant shown below and teal. (You're welcome Elika!) Like the rest of Celestial Studio's pants, these include all three prim leg attachments and options for both pants and underpants layers.

Box pleated denim skirts available in all 12 Celestial Studios denim finishes.  Medium Light shown here. These come with both gold and silver belt buckles.

Rainbow Stripe Tee, a casual top finished with a cute sculpted prim bow (which is totally optional if bows make you gag.) Available in three shades or as a fatpack.

Finally, the Bree Dress. If you're feeling like me, you're ready for a shot of color. This one is available in six warm weather shades. Sunshine shown below. Also available in a reduced price fat pack.

New Location (Sort of)

As you probably know, Last Call is preparing to close its doors for good in a few weeks. There's been a lot of discussion about what to do/where to go/who will own what etc, when it closes. Eventually it was decided to just let the Dazzle sim shut down and move my second sim over to fill the slot on the map.  We also took this opportunity to move the quad as a group to an emptier space on the grid as any further expansion was prevented by neighboring islands. (There are no expansion plans right now, but it's nice to have the option!) I wasn't sure exactly when the move would be done, just that it could take awhile and woke up this morning to see that it has been done already!

What does this mean for shoppers?  The transition should be fairly easy.  Landmarks and search locations still work, but our sims still appear in their old locations on the map and you see nothing but blue when you're at the new spot. Teleports from profile picks do not work right now but they will be correct again as soon as the map updates.

Be sure to visit Lyra Muse's new shop "Jaywalk" which is now located directly across the street from Celestial Studios.  She's added a ton of new options for her shoes.  She will be holding a Grand Opening party later this month, more details will be available as that date approaches. Watch her blog to stay up to date, and I see she has done some documentation of the building/moving process.

New Print Hoodies

Just a small update for today. I just put out a set of fun hoodies with all over print. These are available in the six color combos shown above.  These hoodies come on the jacket layer only. They do have a finished neckline and they can be worn without the hood as well.

Vogue Winter Series Available

I'm so excited these skins are finally done. I actually finished them in December but experienced a bug while assembling the textures into skins in world that prevented me from saving them.  I'll explain that below for anyone interested.

For those NOT interested, I'll go ahead and post the photo of the makeup now.

This is a sort of eclectic collection.  Clockwise from top left:
Winter 1 - The requisite "winter makeup", with a dark, almost matte wine colored lipstick and a soft smoky eye.
Winter 2 - A sparkling iridescent eye with nude lip. If I'd given these real names this one would probably be called "Frost".
Winter 3 - A very "Fresh Face" heavy on the pink, as requested by Elika Tiramisu. (<3)
Winter 4 - Another dark and wintry lipstick, this time with more of a brown/burgundy color and satiny finish and a neutral eye.

These are available in all five regular Vogue skin tones. They're shown above in the "Pure" tone.

Since this finishes out the seasonal collection, I will be reissuing the spring and summer series as well.  The fall ones are still available on the floor.  I just have to figure out where to put them, but they should be back in the next few days.

Now for the boring bug stuff!

I must first thank Elika again, not just for the inspiration for the pink makeup but also for figuring out how to save these!

I've been trying to save them religiously almost every day since I finished them in December.  For some reason, when I pressed "Save As" in appearance, nothing would happen. I've waited as long as an hour  for the save to "take" and it never did.  Oddly though, when I relogged, the skins I tried to save would be in the folder, but without the textures I applied to them.  This bug only affected skins. I was able to save all other articles of clothing without any problem. I could not save with my alt or on another computer either.

I cleared my cache obsessively and reinstalled the client but to no avail. Nothing would make these things save.  Until Elika casually suggested "Have you tried WindLight?"  And I hadn't! So I did and Voila! Saved like a charm on the first try.

This is a mixed blessing because while I am elated to finally be able to finish this set, I do NOT want to be forced to try and make any/all future skins in the horrific windlight lighting. Yes the sky and water are pretty, but so far I haven't come up with a setting that's anything remotely similar to what we have now. If anyone is aware of this bug or some other potential work around/fix (preferably a fix) please let me know!

I have family coming into town today and staying for three weeks so I may be scarce online for awhile.  Maybe three weeks will sort out my skin bug. Here's hoping...

I have tomorrow's gift planned already, but I am not sure what to make for Friday!  I'm open to suggestions, just please don't say "skins" because I've still got this bug that's preventing me from saving those. (No hair either, I'm hating prims at the moment.) :P

Week of Love: Day 2

Today's gift, a tuxedo dress, has been added to the group archives. I was not going to post updates here, but I'm hearing reports that a lot of people are missing the notice. It worked for me today, but not yesterday.  I do wish they'd fix some of the major group bugs one of these days.

Plethora of Pants

Tons of new pants out today. These replace all my older jeans and pants which I made in late 2005 or early 2006 and suffice it to say their replacement is LONG overdue.  This release consists of 12 pairs of jeans and 12 pairs of cords as well as 14 belts to mix and match.

Each pair comes with 2 different mesh options on both underpants and pants layers as well as three different sculpted leg styles; skinny, bootcut or flare.

Belts come on both pants and jacket layers for maximum versatility.  They are painted belts (not prim) and are specifically designed to be worn with Celestial Studios pants. Ie. They may not (probably won't) match up with jeans from another shop.

The belts come in a variety of colors, some of which are matched to my hobo bags.
